About
It all started with a diary.
Since documenting what I had for lunch and dinner on January 7, 1979, I’ve made writing a lifelong habit.
Today, after 30 years in the non-profit field, I’m a seasoned wordsmith. Peruse my resume to see the impacts of my work as a grant writer, communicator and project manager.
Passions: Listening. Rescuing food. Long-term friendships. Pushing for change. Green design. Attempting to see from other people’s points of view.
Pleasures: Roadside fruit stands. The Chicago Bears. Sledding. Cinema. Mad Libs. Foraging. A flaky biscuit. Smiling at people on the street. Thunderstorms. Trees.
Extracurriculars:
10000 Whens, an art project made from 30 years of diaries.
Serving as treasurer for my local chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby.
Girls Gone Wilder, a snarky Little House on the Prairie blog written with my friend Tracy Ball.
